The Recht and Recht Company was founded in 1974 by James R. Recht, MAI, who has thirty five years of appraisal experience. Deanne Recht, President, heads the company with more than 25 years of appraisal experience. All appraisers are state licensed or certified, meet continuing education requirements, and have experience analyzing property throughout San Diego County.

A wide variety of property valuation and consultation services is offered by our residential and commercial staff which includes: market value estimates, rental studies, use analyses, construction/soils defects, stigma and just compensation. We value real property for conservation, acquisitions, trust management, litigation, eminent domain, partnership dissolution, estate planning, estate tax, listing and sale assistance purposes.

The Recht and Recht Company complies with the standards and/or guidelines established by the Appraisal Institute, and when applicable, the Caltrans R/W Manual, the DGS Appraisal Guidelines, the California Code of Civil Procedure, IRS Guidelines, and the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisition (UASFLA or Yellowbook).
