Deanne Recht-Amor has taken approximately 80 post-graduate real estate courses and seminars. She has earned the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. She served 2004 President of the San Diego Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and represented this professional organization locally for about 9 years and regionally for about 4 years. Deanne Recht-Amor, MAI is an approved national instructor for the Appraisal Institute. She has experience with all types of commercial and industrial property as well as vacant land countywide. Her areas of specialty lie in eminent domain and sensitive habitat valuations and consultation. She has testified as an expert witness in Superior Court. Deanne Recht-Amor, MAI is a California State Certified General Appraiser.

He has earned two designations SRA from the Appraisal Institute (AI) and IFA National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA). Gady Amor currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He has authored and served as instructor for several local residential seminars for the Appraisal Institute. He was also the past president of the local chapter of NAIFA. He is a California State Certified General Appraiser. His areas of expertise include luxury and water-oriented residential properties throughout San Diego County with special emphasis in Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar and La Jolla. He also has broad residential appraisal experience and specializes in residential income properties.

The Recht and Recht Company was founded and incorporated by James R. Recht and Barbara R. Recht in 1974. It has been providing real estate valuation services to San Diego County ever since. Today, both are enjoying retirement after having trained the next generation to succeed them. James R. Recht, MAI, SRA was a leader in both the Appraisal Institute and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He is also known as an instructor of real estate appraisal. During the later part of his career, he provided litigation support and served as an expert witness in court.

The Recht and Recht Company has a full time staff of residential and commercial appraisers with years of experiencing valuing properties in San Diego County. Our staff members hold the highest level of licensing for each property type. Residential appraisers all hold the State Certified Residential license and the commercial appraisers all hold State Certified General licenses. In addition, to attending continuing education through the Appraisal Institute, our staff has undergone extensive on-the-job training at The Recht and Recht Company. Their work product is closely supervised and reviewed in house for quality assurance by the department heads, Gady Amor, SRA for residential assignments and Deanne Recht-Amor, MAI for commercial and complex assignments.
